Dr. Bod-Ri Állatorvosi Ambulancia Book an appointment

Your first visit

If this is your first visit, here is what to expect. If anything remains unclear, do call us.

What to bring

The vaccination record or pet passport, if you have one. Any previous test results or discharge notes if your pet has been treated elsewhere. The names of any medication it is taking. For skin problems it helps if you know what your pet eats.

How to bring your pet

Cats and small animals always in a closed carrier — there are other animals in the clinic, and a carrier feels safe. Dogs on a lead, with a muzzle where needed. If your pet is frightened of the vet, tell us: there are things we do differently in that case.

What happens during the examination

First we ask what you have noticed at home — this often helps more than any instrument. Then comes the physical examination: temperature, heart sounds, palpation. If further tests are needed — ultrasound, X-ray or blood sampling — we always tell you in advance what to expect and what it will cost.

How long it takes

A vaccination or routine check takes 15-20 minutes. If further tests are needed, allow an hour. With an appointment the wait is shorter.
